Special Reports
February 26, 2015

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Burton Polansky. He was a leading Zionist Activist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a Past President of the Milwaukee District of the Zionist Organization of America, and also served on ZOA’s National Executive Committee. At the personal request of several of Israel’s Prime Ministers, he attended numerous conferences in Israel on behalf of and representing ZOA. He had a close personal relationship with Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir. His children and grandchildren are following in his footsteps. Two of his daughters now live Eretz Yisrael, and many of his grandchildren have served in the IDF, two of them serving in Military Intelligence.  Mr. Polansky was a benefactor of a large children’s recreational facility in the community of Eli in Samaria. He was a successful trial attorney in Milwaukee, before retiring to Florida.

Those who wish to express their condolences to his widow, Sheila Polansky, and loved ones please do so at:

May his wife Sheila and the rest of his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Israel.
