ZOA Sends Condolences and Prayers to London Terror Victims and Their Families
News Press Release
June 5, 2017

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) President Morton Klein released the following statement:

The ZOA sends our condolences and prayers to the families of the seven innocent civilians murdered and 48 injured by Islamist terrorists during the terrorists’ vehicle ramming and stabbing rampage in London this past weekend. (“London Attack: Six Dead After Van Rampage And Stabbings As Three Terrorists Killed,” The Telegraph, June 4, 2017.)  And we are continuing our prayers for the injured who are still trying to recover from the Islamist terrorist attack in Manchester just a fortnight ago.

To reduce similar attacks, the U.S. Supreme Court should grant the President’s urgent petition for certiorari regarding the injunction barring enforcement of the President’s March 2017 temporary travel ban from six countries that pose severe terrorism risks (Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Yemen which represent only 15% of Muslims)  The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals’ statements that national security was merely a “pretext” for the President’s temporary travel ban defies common sense and ignores the lessons of San Bernadino, the Boston Marathon, Orlando and the recent horrific attacks in Europe.  The Supreme Court should permit the President’s temporary ban.

The stabbing rampage that ended Taylor Force’s life is eerily similar to the stabbing rampage that just occurred in London.  We can no longer allow U.S. aid dollars to be used to incentivize such horrors.

ZOA thus agrees with President Trump’s June 3 tweet @realDonaldTrump:  “We need to be smart, vigilant and tough.  We need the courts to give us back our rights.  We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!

Another important step needed to prevent such attacks is that Congress should promptly pass H.R. 1164, the Taylor Force Act.  The Taylor Force Act conditions U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) on ending the PA’s promoting violence and murder of Jews and actually paying terrorists to murder Jews and Americans.  The more terrorists have murdered and the longer their prison term, the larger their monthly pension. In March 2016, a Palestinian Arab terrorist stabbed to death former U.S. army officer and West Point graduate, Taylor Force, while Mr. Force was on a college trip to Israel, and stabbed and wounded 10 Israelis.  Taylor Force was a veteran of the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The stabbing rampage that ended Taylor Force’s life is eerily similar to the stabbing rampage that just occurred in London.  We can no longer allow U.S. aid dollars to be used to incentivize such horrors.
