ZOA: U.S. Should End
Relations With Arafat & PA

NEW YORK- A member of Yasir Arafat’s cabinet has denounced U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell as “a neo-Nazi” and accused President Bush of “spreading poison.”

In an interview with the Arabic-language television network Al Jazeera on April 7, 2002, PA cabinet minister Hassan Asfour said: “Powell is a neo-Nazi agent, who can be expected to bring with him some of the new poison which President Bush has started to spread in his speeches. We call upon the Arab leaders who intend to receive the neo-Nazi agent to beware.” (Yediot Ahronot, April 9, 2002)

Last month, Arafat’s Fatah movement issued a statement on its web site denouncing America and Israel as “the forces of evil.”

Morton A. Klein, National President of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), said: “Even as Secretary Colin Powell is pressuring Israel to make new one-sided concessions, and even as the U.S. continues giving the Palestinian Arabs $100-million each year, Arafat is inciting Palestinian Arabs to hatred and violence against America. We urge the Bush administration to end all relations with Arafat and the Palestinian Authority, and halt all funding to the Palestinian Arabs.”
