PA Official: “Destroy
America, Protect Iraq”
NEW YORK- Official Palestinian Authority Radio has broadcast a sermon calling the United States “criminal” and “terrorist,” and “inhuman” yet another blatant violation of the conditions that President Bush established in his June 24, 2002 speech.

The PA’s official radio station, the Ramallah-based “Voice of Palestine,” broadcast a 25-minute live sermon from Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on February 7, 2002, in which Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, the PA-appointed Mufti of Jerusalem, declared: “While Muslims slaughter sheep in Id Al-Adha, the United States will slay Muslims in Iraq in order to carry out its aggressive, criminal, terrorist, and inhuman designs…O Allah, deter the aggressors and conspirators. O Allah, destroy them all. O Allah, protect Iraq and its people.” (Translation courtesy of FBIS.)
Meanwhile, both PA Radio and the PA’s official television station, the Gaza Palestine Satellite Channel Television, broadcast a 33-minute live sermon from the Sheikh Ijlin mosque in Gaza on February 7, 2002, in which Sheikh Ibrahim al-Mudayris described America as “the United States, the unjust country,” and threatened: “O Palestinians, O Muslims, we swear that nobody will enjoy safety in the world unless injustice to the Palestinian people is lifted…After this reckless U.S. president declared his loyalty to the Jews and planned to get rid of our president, our people, and our cause, his country lost both security and safety.” He also said that America is “overwhelmed by corruption.”
Morton A. Klein, National President of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), said: “Why does the Bush administration continue support creation of a Palestinian Arab state and continue giving the Palestinian Arabs $150-million in taxpayers’ money each year, when they use those funds to incite against America and Israel, in violation of President Bush’s own demand that they stop their incitement?”
