We are pleased to announce the appointment of Doris Wise Montrose, as the West Coast executive director of ZOA.  Headquartered in Los Angeles, she will increase the presence of ZOA throughout the area and provide educational programs designed to create pro-Israel attitudes and actions.

Doris has been president of Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors of Los Angeles (CJHSLA) since founding the non-profit organization in 2006.   As an exceptionally active advocate of Jewish empowerment and a highly experienced organizational leader and business executive, she has produced scores of community forums to engage and inform thousands of individuals.

Her collaborative management style and effective communication skills have earned Doris praise and support internationally and from the large West Coast Jewish community and other groups to broaden awareness of Zionist causes.

Doris has taken on numerous leadership roles in West Coast social and political arenas to help protect and promote the freedom and rights of the State of Israel, including spearheading passage of California Assembly Bill 221 – Divestiture from Iran.

For 15 years prior to starting CJHSLA, Doris founded and operated her own company involved in family law matters.  Earlier, she was head of a ladies sportswear manufacturing company.  She also worked for the Anti-Defamation League.

Doris received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California and obtained her paralegal certification from UCLA.

ZOA National President Morton Klein said “We are very happy and delighted that Doris is joining the ZOA team.  Her vast experience, contacts, and commitment to ZOA’s agenda makes her a great asset to our organization.  We look forward to working with Doris and expanding the visibility and promoting our agenda on the West Coast.”
