ZOA Sends 6,000 Purim Packages To Israel Soldiers

The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) and the International Young Israel Movement (IYIM) – Israel Region have once again teamed up to deliver 6,000 Mishloach Manot to soldiers of the IDF and the Israel Air Force throughout the country.


This massive operation is spearheaded in America by Mr. Rubin Margules (President, ZOA – Brooklyn Chapter) and Mr. Meir Mishkoff (President, American Friends of Yisrael Hatzair) and in Israel by Mr. Jeff Daube (Director, ZOA Israel) and Mr. Daniel Meyer (Exec. Director, IYIM-Israel).


The 6,000 Mishloach Manot were packed on Sunday 26th and Monday 27th of February in Heichal Shlomo, Jerusalem by students who are spending a year studying in various yeshivot and seminaries; Israeli students from the Mitzpe Yericho Yeshiva and Evelena de Rothschild school; participants in the IYIM Beineinu singles program and the general public.


Distribution will take place on Sunday March 4th at Bad Echad Officers Training  Base near Mitzpe Ramon, Monday March 5th at the Nevatim Air Force Base and Tuesday March 6th at various training bases. They will be distributed by the leadership, membership and friends of the ZOA and IYIM in Israel.


Reporters are encouraged to participate in the distribution on Tuesday March 6th leaving from Yerushalayim at 9:15 am.
