Organizers of the July 22 “Stop Iran Now” rally in Times Square are disappointed that none of the many US presidential candidates has agreed to participate.
Speakers will include Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, former Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau, former CIA Director James Woolsey, former Congressman Allen West and “The French Connection” actor Tony LoBianco.
“We invited all of the presidential candidates,” a source involved with the rally told me.k
“Of course, Hillary [Clinton] won’t show, but we are hoping the Republican presidential candidates come because Iran is an issue which all decent people must stand up against.”
The Obama Administration has been working for months on an agreement that critics say will allow Iran to continue developing nuclear weapons.
A June 30 deadline for the agreement has passed, but Secretary of State John Kerry has continued nine straight days of negotiations.
Rally participants will call for a return to the original US demands for “unfettered inspections of all known and to-be-uncovered military/nuclear research sites/facilities at any time, unannounced,” as well as a surrender of Iran’s enriched weapons-grade Uranium.
It also calls to reinstate all sanctions against Iran, and to provide Israel with full-size bunker-destroying bombs as a deterrent against the Islamic regime.
Since Iran refuses to recognize Israel and supports the Palestinian Hezbollah terrorists, the rally is being organized by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Zionist Organization of America and other Jewish groups.
