ZOA Congratulates and Praises Mike Waltz’s Nomination as U.S. Ambassador to UN; Sec’y Rubio Additional Role as NSA
News Press Release

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton A. Klein, ZOA Chair Rubin Margules and the ZOA National Board praise and congratulate Mike Waltz on his nomination to become U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and praise and congratulate Secretary of State Marco Rubio on his new additional role as National Security Advisor. Both Ambassador-nominee Waltz and Secretary Rubio have long records of strong, dedicated service to the security and well-being of the United States, eminently qualifying them for these positions. Both are also great friends of Israel and the Jewish people; and understand the critical need to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat.

The UN is unfortunately an anti-American, antisemitic, anti-Israel cesspool that expends billions of dollars and enormous amounts of time attacking Israel via multiple well-funded UN agencies; conferences; publications; incessant libelous resolutions; committees; kangaroo courts; indoctrinating Jew-hatred in UNRWA schools; outright employment of and assistance to terrorists (including perpetrators of October 7), giving international platforms to rabid haters of Jews, Israel and America; and biased “investigations.” Battle-tested Ambassador-nominee Waltz (awardee of the Bronze Star) is well-suited for the diplomatic warfare he will confront at the United Nations.

Secretary Rubio has demonstrated his clear-eyed ability, understanding and friendship time and again. By contrast to the dangerous criticisms and negativity too often displayed by the previous (Biden) administration’s State Department, Secretary Rubio’s statements are those of a true ally and friend who understand that Israel’s and America’s security are intertwined. (See, for example, the State Department readout of Secretary Rubio’s March 23 supportive phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.) Secretary Rubio is a wonderful choice for his expanded role.
