Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton Klein released the following statement:
Yesterday, the press (JNS, etc.) quoted ZOA National President Morton Klein’s statement that: “The Washington State Democratic Platform foments antisemitism by promoting and spreading numerous antisemitic blood libels about Israel, Zionism and Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. Then the platform has the gall to blame Israel, the victim of these lies, for part of the dramatic resurgence in antisemitism.”
There are even more horrors in the Washington State Democratic Platform, including the following:
(1) The platform supports funding (sending our U.S. tax dollars to) Hamas-permeated UNRWA (the United Nations Relief & Works Agency) – whose employees participated in perpetrating the October 7 massacre, mutilation and kidnapping of innocent Jews, including over 40 Americans, and including the slaughter of 97 Jews at Kibbutz Be’eri. Hamas/UNRWA officials led the murderous attack on young Jews who tried to escape to a bomb shelter near the Re’im music festival; murdered and kidnapped Yonatan Samerano (by an UNRWA “social worker”), and kidnapped others. Israel gave the UN the names and military information on over 100 UNRWA employees who double as Hamas or PIJ terrorists. Over 10% of senior UNRWA school officials in Gaza, including school principals, are Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad members. These operatives assure that UNRWA schools continue to teach children to become “martyrs” who murder Jews. UNRWA facilities moreover store weapons for Hamas, and hide Hamas tunnels and communications centers. See ZOA’s detailed discussion and sources here. The fact that the Washington state Democrats’ platform calls for sending U.S. tax dollars to Hamas-permeated UNRWA demonstrates exactly where this state party’s sympathies lie.
(2) Hypocritically, the platform “supports the right of Indigenous people to defend their lands, cultures, and communities” but then denies the Indigenous Jewish people the right to live in and defend Jewish people’s Indigenous historic lands Israel and Judea and Samaria.
(3) The platform calls for Israel to release from prison more convicted Palestinian Arab Muslim terrorists who murdered innocent Jews.
(4) The platform also promotes the grotesque lie of “settler violence” – a blood libel that ignores that so-called “settler violence” in reality consists of Jews praying on the Temple Mount; hiking on Israeli lands that the Palestinian Arabs want to steal; Palestinian Arab arrests by and clashes with Israeli security forces; and Jews defending themselves from the documented 15 serious knifing, shooting, ramming, IED, etc. attacks that Palestinian terrorists commit against Israeli civilians every single day.
(5) The platform calls forms of Zionism a “racist political ideology rooted in supremacy.” Even the bigoted, antisemitic UN rescinded its despicable “Zionism is racism” resolution. And the platform condemns so-called “occupation” by Israel of her own lawful lands, and more.
ZOA urges Jewish and Christian and moral Muslim leaders to condemn and urge this platform be completely rewritten to eliminate its bigotry and mindless Israel bashing. If the Washington State democrats truly wanted to root out the causes of antisemitism, they would completely overhaul their defamatory platform.
Why do these antisemites say nothing about the massacre of Christians in Africa and the Sudan and elsewhere? Why do these antisemites only condemn US aid to Israel but say nothing about the almost $2 billion each in US aid to the Muslim countries of Egypt and Jordan ignoring their abominable human rights and women’s rights records?
