U.S. Refused to Condemn Palestinian Regime Praising These Jew-Killers

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) President Morton A. Klein and Director of Research and Special Projects Liz Berney, Esq. released the following statement:

ZOA condemns the Biden/Blinken U.S. State Department’s recent hypocritical, antisemitic, outrageous statements that: (1) equated innocent Israeli Jews murdered by Palestinian Arab terrorists with Palestinian terrorists who ambushed and attacked Israelis; (2) falsely called Jews building and living in Jewish homes in the ancient Jewish homeland of Judea/Samaria an “obstacle to peace”; but never called Arab terrorists or pay to slay policies or PA President Mahmoud Abbas praising these murders of Jews an obstacle to peace and (3) failed to identify that Palestinian Arab terrorists were the perpetrators of the murder of four innocent Israelis – even after Hamas took credit for murdering these innocent Jews, and even after the Palestinian Authority praised the terrorists. These Biden State Department statements only encourage more anti-Israel and antisemitic violence, and contradict the Biden administration’s assertions that it is combating antisemitism.

Biden State Dept. Again Fails to Mention Palestinian Arab Perpetrators; and Fails to Condemn Palestinian Authority for Praising Terrorists: On Tuesday, June 20, two Palestinian Arab terrorists entered a restaurant and gas station and shot and murdered four innocent Jews (Nachman Shmuel Mordoff, age 17; Elisha Antman, age 18; Harel Masoud, age 21; and Ofer Feirman, age 63) and injured four more Jews. Hamas’ al-Qassem brigades proudly and promptly claimed credit for the attack, and the Palestinian Authority and Fatah praised the terrorists as “heroic Martyrs” and “men true to what they promised Allah,” who carried out the “heroic Eli colony operation.” (See PMW report.)

Shamefully, as always, Biden officials’ condolences and other statements failed to state that Hamas/ Palestinian Arabs were the perpetrators of the murders of innocent Jews; and failed to condemn the Palestinian Authority’s praise for the terrorists. For instance, U.S. State Dept. Spokesperson Matthew Miller’s June 20, 2023 statement merely condemned “the terrorist attack” without saying who perpetrated the attack. Likewise, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides’ revised tweet on June 20th condemned “the senseless murder of four innocent Israelis today” – again without saying who perpetrated these murders of innocent Jews; and Nides’ initial, much criticized tweet (discussed below) was even worse. Neither statement mentioned the Palestinian Authority’s praise for the terrorists.

Why can’t U.S. officials have the decency to identify and specifically condemn the Palestinian Arab perpetrators of this and other heinous attacks, and condemn the Hamas and Fatah incitement and Palestinian Authority “pay to slay” payments that promote and reward these horrors? And why is the Biden administration still sending over $1.5 Billion to Hamas-allied UNRWA and to projects and services that benefit the Palestinian Authority Violating the Taylor Force Act? It’s an outrage!

Biden State Dept.’s Despicable False Equivalence Statements: The Biden officials’ statements also despicably equated the murdered innocent Jews who were just sitting in a restaurant to Palestinian Arabs killed during a gun battle and ambush against Israeli troops in Jenin the previous day. U.S. State Dept. Spokesperson Matthew Miller’s June 20, 2023 statement decried that violence in the West Bank in recent weeks “has killed and injured Palestinian and Israeli civilians.” Similarly, Ambassador Nides’ initial tweet said he was “deeply concerned about the civilian deaths and injuries that have occurred in the West Bank these past 48 hours.”

(On Monday, June 19, Israeli troops who came to Jenin to arrest two Arab terrorists were ambushed by Palestinian Arab terrorists’ powerful bombs and explosive devices, which mangled and disabled the Israeli vehicles and trapped the Israeli soldiers inside. Palestinian Arab terrorists then opened fire at the Israelis, and at an Israeli rescue helicopter. A 10-hour gunfight ensued, in which seven Israeli soldiers were wounded; and several Palestinian Arab attackers were killed, including two Islamic Jihad murderers.)

As Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Herzog wrote, when correctly criticizing Nides’ tweet: “Today, yet another heinous Palestinian terror attack claimed the lives of 4 innocent Israeli civilians. There is no justification whatsoever for the targeting and killing of innocent civilians. It must be unequivocally condemned. Any attempt of a so-called ‘balanced’ condemnation is misguided and disrespectful to the memory of the victims.” And encourages more Arab violence.

Biden State Dept. Again Attacks Jews for Living and Building Homes in the Jewish Homeland:

On June 18, 2023, U.S. State Dept. Spokesperson Matthew Miller issued an antisemitic, discriminatory statement criticizing Jews for living in and building homes in the lawful Jewish homeland. The statement declared: “The United States is deeply troubled by the Israeli government’s reported decision to advance planning for over 4,000 settlement units in the West Bank. We are similarly concerned by reports of changes to Israel’s system of settlement administration that expedite the planning and approvals of settlements.” The statement also declared that “the United States opposes such unilateral actions that make a two-state solution more difficult to achieve and are an obstacle to peace,” and called on the Israeli government to observe alleged freeze commitments that have expired.

Jewish homes are not an “obstacle to peace.” For the past 80 years, the obstacles to peace have been the Palestinian Authority, which rejects peace with Israel in any shape or form and remains determined to annihilate the Jewish state; and Hamas, which is dedicated to murdering every Jew. Repeated building freezes have never brought us any closer to peace. And why does the U.S. never condemn the massive illegal Palestinian Arab building in Judea/Samaria?

Moreover, the so-called “two-state solution” (meaning, creating a Palestinian Arab Fatah-Hamas-Hezbollah-Iranian proxy terror state on the Jewish people’s lawful and historic land which threatens Israel’s existence) is a fantasy that is opposed by both sides. The latest Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) poll in the “West Bank” and Gaza between June 7 and 11, 2023 (PSR poll #88) found that only 28% of Palestinian Arabs support a two-state solution while 70% of Palestinian Arabs oppose it. The same PSC survey found that 53% of Palestinian Arabs favor armed struggle against Israel, plus another 22% favor “popular resistance” which usually also means violence – while only 21% favor negotiations with Israel; that 66% believe that Israel will not reach her 100th birthday; and that 51% believe that they will “regain Palestine.” The most recent PSR poll we saw on Israeli views (January 2023) found that support for a two-state solution was only 33% among the Palestinians and 34% among Israeli Jews; with 66% of Palestinians and 53% of Israeli Jews opposed. As the June 2023 poll reveals, support for a two-state solution has continued to trend downwards, after the January 2023 poll. Also, a July 2022 Israel Democracy Institute poll found that only 32% of Israeli Jews would support an agreement that divides Israel into a Jewish state and a Palestinian Arab state.

It’s time for the Biden administration to face reality; to stop demanding that Jews not build homes in the lawful Jewish land; and to stop equating innocent Jewish victims of Arab terrorism to Arab gunmen, and to stop promoting anti-Israel policies that anti-Israel Obama and Soros surely approve of.
