Morton Klein testifies before Congress, December 10, 2025
Dear Fellow Zionist,
As we gather at our Passover seders and retell the story of our liberation from slavery in Egypt, we recognize that Israel and the Jewish people once again face enemies who openly seek our destruction. The lessons of Passover are not ancient history — they are today’s headlines. Today, as Israel confronts Iran’s Islamist regime and its proxies while Jews worldwide face a surge of antisemitism, ZOA remains resolved that freedom demands courage, clarity, and action.
ZOA is fighting back — because Passover teaches that in every generation it is our responsibility to defend Jewish freedom.
![]() When I think of ZOA, I think of an organization that refuses to compromise on the truth regardless of prevailing fashion. The ZOA is a bulwark in the defense of Israel. I urge you to support the ZOA and its efforts on behalf of Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu |
ZOA spearheaded and won the groundbreaking battle to change the interpretation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act — securing long-denied legal protections for Jewish students facing harassment and discrimination in federally funded schools and universities nationwide. ZOA also filed a groundbreaking complaint on behalf of Jewish students against the University of California, Irvine — the first antisemitism case ever investigated by the federal government under Title VI, setting a precedent for the Title VI complaints that have been filed since to protect Jewish students in schools and on campuses across the country.
The ZOA Center for Law and Justice, headed by Susan Tuchman, Esq., has filed numerous cases and complaints to protect Jewish students and educators, including challenging antisemitic and anti-Israel policies promoted by teachers’ unions. Recently, ZOA successfully resolved its federal district court lawsuit against Cherry Hill Public Schools in New Jersey on behalf of a Jewish high school student who was egregiously attacked after he stood up for Israel. Students Supporting Israel, a partner organization, sought the help of ZOA after its chapter at Adelphi University faced disciplinary charges. With ZOA Center for Law and Justice’s counsel and support, the complaint was dismissed and the chapter was reinstated.

ZOA Campus, headed by Jonathan Ginsburg, has expanded its team of campus professionals to train college students to fight back against the dangerous lies spread by radical Muslims and other Jew-haters. ZOA teaches students the truth about the Arab-Islamic war against Israel and the West and equips them with the facts, strategy, and confidence required to stand up for the Jewish people and Israel. Nearly 40 ZOA Campus Fellows fortify ZOA and empower Jewish students on campuses nationwide. One typical recent highlight occurred when ZOA Campus partnered with Cornell Chabad to host legal scholar Professor Eugene Kontorovich, who spoke about Israel’s legal rights and legitimacy under international law.
ZOA Government Relations, headed by Dan Pollak, has expanded its presence on Capitol Hill, educating members of Congress and advocating for the Jewish people, Israel, and strong U.S.–Israel ties. ZOA was the leading organization in the successful campaign to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and spearheaded efforts opposing nominees with records of hostility toward Israel. Most recently, ZOA has been a forceful voice urging both the administration and Congress to take decisive action against Iran’s regime, which the U.S. and Israel did on the eve of Purim. We continue to lobby for passage of the Antisemitism Awareness Act to combat antisemitism in educational settings.
ZOA regularly appears on television, radio, and podcasts, speaks at conferences, writes op-eds, and lectures nationwide. Our work is frequently cited in major media, including The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, AP, Jerusalem Post, and numerous Jewish and other publications. I recently testified before Congress to refute the false claim that the Palestinian Authority holds territorial rights over Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. I also spoke at the JNS conference in Jerusalem, the Israel Hayom and Rage Against the Hate conferences in New York City, and the Esther Project conference in Washington, D.C., alongside Ambassador Mike Huckabee and Christian Zionist leaders Pastor Tony Perkins and Ralph Reed.
![]() Mort Klein shows what real leadership is. There are a very select, few Jewish nonprofits that amplify the voices of Jewish students. In that, ZOA stands alone. Shabbos Kestenbaum Renowned student activist who filed a major lawsuit against Harvard University for allowing antisemitism on campus |
We continue to host webinars and book clubs with renowned experts, such as MK Dan Illouz, Col. Richard Kemp, and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, to name a few, to keep you informed on the latest developments affecting Israel and the Jewish people.
Our new group, ZOA Women, co-chaired by ZOA National Board Member Susan Good and Rhonda Small, is growing rapidly, with nearly 100 women leaders already signed up to advance ZOA’s mission nationwide. Our recent full-house brunch featuring remarks by Ellie Cohanim, former U.S. Department Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, and ZOA’s Susan Tuchman, was just the beginning. The ZOA campus advocacy workshop was extremely influential for our group at SDSU. We learned strategies for effectively debating anti-Zionists and debunking their arguments in an in-depth way that only an in-person workshop could replicate.
