Stop Iran Deal: It Gives Nazi-like Iran Nukes and Billions to Murder Jews and Americans
News Press Release
June 26, 2015

The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has issued the following statement ahead of what appears to be President Barack Obama’s imminent nuclear deal with the Hitler-like Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Hitler of our time, heading Iran, the Nazi regime of our time, and the senior Iranian religious, political, and military leadership have, in repeated statements, committed themselves to wiping out Israel, the “little Satan,” and the U.S., the “great Satan”:

“Would the U.S. have ever dreamed of making a deal with Nazi Germany’s Adolf Hitler to facilitate Hitler obtaining nuclear weapons while allowing him to receive over $100 billion to promote his genocidal aims? Even President Obama acknowledged on NPR radio that this deal will give the Islamic Republic of Iran nuclear weapons in, at most, 13 years.

“This is nothing less than a catastrophic decision, a truly fateful choice, by President Obama.

“The time has come for frank and serious talk. By effecting this deal with Iran, which will in no way dismantle its any part of its nuclear infrastructure, terminate its nuclear weapons research and development; close its nuclear facilities, dismantle its centrifuges, remove its stocks of enriched uranium, or enable substantive, on the spot inspections of its nuclear sites, declared or undeclared, President Barack Obama is enabling the Islamic Republic of Iran to become a nuclear breakout state against whom timely international sanctions and action will be impossible. As a result, a regime with Nazi-like, anti-Semitic, genocidal ambitions will be mightily empowered by the United States.

“This is nothing less than a catastrophic decision, a truly fateful choice, by President Obama.

“No less serious, and with more immediate, terrible ramifications, Iran will be hugely enriched to the tune of some $150 billion in unfrozen assets and tens of billions of dollars each succeeding year in sanctions relief. This enormous windfall can be reasonably expected to be put to use by the radical Islamic regime in Tehran in funding an array of powerful and deadly terrorist organizations and proxies across the Middle East. But President Obama assures us that this deal will promote the transformation of Iran into a moderate state.

“This will include Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon – both of which are dedicated to Israel’s destruction, America’s destruction, and the global murder of Jews and which, in combination, are responsible for four wars in less than a decade. These vicious and incomparably dangerous terrorists will prosper and grow, protected by an Iranian nuclear umbrella.

“We are also likely to witness nuclear arms race in the Middle East, as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt seek to counter-balance Iranian power. As President Bill Clinton Defense Secretary, William Cohen, put it yesterday, ‘The administration’s intent was to have a counter-proliferation program. And the irony is, it may be just the opposite.’

“It staggers the imagination that, of all countries, the United States should be doing this. It is as if, in the 1930’s, President Roosevelt were seeking to empower the Hitler regime in Germany, ensuring that it obtain a massive windfall in funds, despite knowing that these would be used to fulfill Nazi military ambitions, not German domestic improvement.

“We know Iran is developing Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) which will have the range to strike America. Indeed, Iran could not be developing ICBMs for any other purpose, given that they already possess the missiles to strike Israel and Europe.

“It is widely appreciated that a nuclear-armed Iranian regime poses an existential threat to Israel, but few discuss the huge risk for the United States if Iran becomes a nuclear weapons power.

“The U.S. will be obliged to live under the permanent shadow of nuclear blackmail once Iran gets such weapons. A dirty bomb could be placed on a ship or in a suitcase in New York.

“Even if Iran never fires them at the U.S., who really believes Iran won’t give such weapons to terrorists? And who believes that, once having such weapons, terrorists won’t use them on the U.S.? And even if neither uses them, what unending series of concessions and retreats will America have to undertake to ensure that this continues?

“Once Iran gets the bomb, our freedom and security may well compromised beyond anything we imagined.

“Given that the stakes are enormous, we painfully ask: Why isn’t the media screaming? Why aren’t our Jewish communal leaders screaming? Why aren’t our rabbis screaming? Why aren’t our pastors, ministers, priests and churches screaming? Why isn’t Congress screaming when their paramount duty to the citizens of this country is our safety and security?

“This matter should be the subject of investigation, discussion, mobilization and political action. Instead, we have seen halting, inconsistent statements, lack of urgency and heedless acquiescence.

“If Iran actually obtains nuclear weapons, generations to come will rue the day we allow this to happen.”

“As the renowned African-American economist and public intellectual, Thomas Sowell, of Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, has observed: ‘Back during the years of the nuclear stand-off between the Soviet Union and the United States, contemplating what a nuclear war would be like was called ‘thinking the unthinkable.’ But surely the Nazi Holocaust during World War II should tell us that what is beyond the imagination of decent people is by no means impossible for people who, as Churchill warned of Hitler before the war, had “currents of hatred so intense as to sear the souls of those who swim upon them.” Have we not already seen that kind of hatred in the Middle East? Have we not seen it in suicide bombings there and in suicide attacks against America by people willing to sacrifice their own lives by flying planes into massive buildings, to vent their unbridled hatred? The Soviet Union was never suicidal, so the fact that we could annihilate their cities if they attacked ours was a sufficient deterrent to a nuclear attack from them. But will that deter fanatics with an apocalyptic vision? Should we bet the lives of millions of Americans on our ability to deter nuclear war with Iran? It is now nearly 70 years since nuclear bombs were used in war. Long periods of safety in that respect have apparently led many to feel as if the danger is not real. But the dangers are even greater now and the nuclear bombs more devastating. Clearing the way for Iran to get nuclear bombs may — probably will — be the most catastrophic decision in human history.”

“It is also worth recalling Winston Churchill’s observation, ‘The idea safety can be purchased by throwing a small state to the wolves is a fatal delusion.’”
