Israel Expose: Iran Lied – Working on Nukes for Years
News Press Release
May 1, 2018

The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has noted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s revelatory speech on Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program, as revealed in half a ton of secret Iranian documents procured by Israeli intelligence services, arguing that this proves that the ZOA and others who opposed the 2015 Iran nuclear deal were absolutely correct to do so, as Iran is still developing nuclear weapons. The ZOA argues that these revelations positively require the speedy substantial revision or repudiation of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal negotiated by the former Obama Administration.

The 55,000 pages of documents and 183 CDs of data that served as the basis of Mr. Netanyahu’s detailed speech on the subject reveal that Iran continued to maintain a largely covert nuclear weapons program, known as Project Amad, after it was originally exposed to international scrutiny for the first time in 2003.

ZOA National President Morton A. Klein has issued the following statement:

These revelations now obligate the US and Europe to tear up the worthless and dangerous Iran deal and make clear to Iran that if it doesn’t voluntarily terminate its nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile program, the West will do whatever it takes to end these frightening projects that threaten the West and Israel and even much of the Arab world as well.

“The Israeli revelations about Iran’s covert nuclear program must startle any honest person who previously believed that Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program or that it had relinquished it in 2015 under the terms of the nuclear deal.

“We now know that Iran responded to the exposure of its nuclear program by devising a strategy to both conceal the program’s extent and to continue it under a combination of new, open and covert projects.

“We now know that Iran’s state-funded and directed scientists worked extensively on technology specifically designed for constructing a nuclear bomb.

“We also know that the Iran nuclear deal is based on lies –– Iran lies and Western blindness.

“We chose to ignore what Iran has been doing in its nuclear facilities, we chose not to insist that these facilities be closed, we chose to ignore continuing Iranian ballistic missile development –– that’s how we ended up with the disastrous 2015 Iran nuclear deal, whose tremendous flaws and shortcomings the ZOA detailed at the time.

“In short, Iran has lied before, during and after the 2015 nuclear deal.

“This proves conclusively that President Obama and the Senate Democrats who supported this deal were dangerously wrong, while Prime Minister Netanyahu, Senator Ted Cruz, Sheldon Adelson, the ZOA and others were painfully correct.

“In fact, the question must be asked: where is former President Obama? Why have we not heard from him on this issue, now that we have these extraordinary revelations, courtesy of Israeli intelligence? After all, he was emphatic and repetitive in defending the nuclear deal and claiming it was devoid of serious shortcomings. Why has he not come forward, either to defend his old stance, or to acknowledge that we now have information which exposes the fatal flaws in the Iran deal?

“These revelations now obligate the US and Europe to tear up the worthless and dangerous Iran deal and make clear to Iran that if it doesn’t voluntarily terminate its nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile program, the West will do whatever it takes to end these frightening projects that threaten the West and Israel and even much of the Arab world as well.”
