ZOA Condemns Walz and Pelosi for Calling for “Pushing” and Using “Leverage” Against Israel

Walz Also Disgracefully and Dangerously Praised the U.S. Pro-Hamas Rioters As Doing The Right Thing

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton A. Klein released the following statement:

Appallingly, on September 5th, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said that the U.S. “can’t allow what’s happened in Gaza,” called for a ceasefire and vowed to “push” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the direction of a so-called “two-state solution” (the creation of an Iranian-proxy Palestinian Arab terror state on Israel’s lawful, historic G-d-given land, which endangers Israel’s existence).

What does Walz want Israel to do? Abandon the remaining hostages by leaving Gaza? Abandon the efforts to stop Hamas from carrying out its repeated vows to repeat its October 7 atrocities over and over until Israel is annihilated? Leave the Philadelphi Corridor so that Hamas can smuggle in thousands of rockets again, smuggle out the hostages to Iran where they will never be found? Leave Judea and Samaria to the unified terror armies of Hamas, PIJ, Fatah and other Arab Islamic terror groups that reached a unity deal in July?

Outrageously, Walz also praised the pro-Hamas-terror rioters in the U.S. and promoted an anti-Israel blood libel in one fell swoop, saying: “Those folks who are speaking out loudly are speaking out for all the right reasons. It’s a humanitarian crisis. It can’t stand the way it is.”

Israel is in fact facilitating the delivery of an enormous amount of aid into Gaza. Between October 7, 2023 and September 7, 2024, Israel has facilitated 994,128 tons of humanitarian aid on 50,440 trucks and 9,931 pallets – enough aid for every man, woman and child in Gaza to eat 3,000 calories per day – plus tons of fuel, and stopped it’s just/moral war to deliver the vaccination against polio of over 440,450 Gazan children. It is the rioting “folks,” whom Walz praised, who are creating a humanitarian crisis by making it unsafe for American Jews to walk the streets or attend American universities, or even restaurants or synagogues, without being punched, blocked and harassed. The U.S. rioters also encourage and inspire Hamas’ continued rocket attacks and other terrorist actions.

Similar to Walz, on September 7, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi similarly called for “more fully” using “leverage” against Israel to reduce Gazan casualties, falsely called the situation in Gaza “intolerable” (meaning, for Gazans), and said that we “have to” create a Palestinian Arab (terror) state. The situation in Gaza is in fact intolerable for the hostages – and for Israel – which will again be at grave risk of more massive pogroms if Israel fails to destroy Hamas’ terror army and leaves strategic areas needed to prevent Hamas from rearming. (She ignores the truly outrageous relentless attacks on Sudanese, African and Bangladeshi non-Muslim civilians by radical Muslims.)

Pelosi also repeated the platitude about helping Israel “defend” itself, but then somewhat incoherently said “where people might be thinking some of these weapons are being used offensively.”  She seemed to oppose Israel using weapons offensively. In fact, until Hamas’ terror army is defeated, Israel is secured from more terror from Gaza, and every hostage is home, every Israeli operation in Gaza is in the course of a defensive war.

It’s time for Walz, Pelosi and other U.S. officials to remember that U.S. leverage needs to be used against Arab Islamist Hamas, Hezbollah, the Palestinian Authority, Qatar and Islamic Iran and not against America’s ally – the Jewish State of Israel – which is merely defending and protecting innocent Jewish and other civilians from more Islamist terror.
